How Ship4Snow works: pack it, ship it, track it, ski it
Ship4Snow ships skis and snowboards you pack in your own padded bag. You get a price from two ZIP codes and an arrive-by date, confirm the pickup and delivery addresses, then buy the label. Optional protection and optional SmartTrack GPS are added before you pay. After drop-off or pickup, track the bag until it reaches your lodging.
The four steps
- Get a quote. Enter two ZIP codes, choose Skis, Snowboard, or Ski & Boot Bag, and pick an arrive-by date on the quote page. Packed gear uses a standard size for that choice. Choose Enter my size if your bag is different, and enter the packed weight in pounds. Round trip rates the return with these addresses swapped.
- Confirm the addresses and buy the label. Enter the real pickup and delivery addresses and a receiver phone. The label cannot be bought until those are in. Add protection here if you want it. Its price is included in the all-in quote, and the shipping options page shows the coverage amount.
- Drop off or schedule a pickup. Drop-off is usually cheaper. The shipping options page shows how much less before you pay. Pickup is door-to-door if you would rather not drive to a carrier.
- Track to the mountain. Follow carrier scans on the tracking page. SmartTrack GPS, if you added it, gives you a record of the delivery on top of the carrier scans. It is included on every round trip.
Packing
- Use a padded ski or snowboard bag. Tape loose parts and pad bindings. Poles or a board can go in the same bag when they fit.
- A ski and boot bag can hold boots, a helmet, and outerwear with your skis or snowboard when the bag is within the size you quoted.
- Ship five to ten business days ahead, and set arrival for one business day before you travel.
Bags, GPS, and international shipping
- You do not need to buy a bag or a box. If you want one, the optional Ski Box and Snowboard Box are $20 each. A box does not include SmartTrack GPS.
- SmartTrack GPS is optional on a one-way trip. Add it when you book. It is included on a round trip.
- This storefront quotes US door-to-door shipping today. International routes appear on the shipping options page when they are available for your ZIPs.
